1/30/05: Mommy goes to Dr for post-partum and must return in 2wks to check iron levels that are currently extremely low (that explains paleness in all the photos!!!). However, still gets clearance to begin heading back to the gym - woo hooo!!!

1/30/05: Mommy and Daddy get next to no sleep since JT has quickly learned from his extended family how nice it is to be held and cuddled all the time vs sleeping in crib all by himself. We finnally get our act together and head out to meet Pap & Mammy for their weekly after church luncheon in Middlesboro, KY, Uncles Cal and Rick are there along with their wives Aunts Vickie and Vivian. After a quick lunch, posing for pictures and goodbyes, we head for a quick visit to Daddy’s close friends Bill and Amy and introduce JT to their 2yr old, Samuel. Due to lack of sleep, we’re like zombies by this point, we enjoy a piece of cake Amy made for us and then head back to Mam and Pap’s to pack up and hit the road. We finnally get out at 7p and stop by for another quick goodbye at Mammy’s work and we’re on the road by 8pm with JT literally packed in the middle of backseat between luggage, gifts, and toys… there’s no room left. Whew… we finnally pull back into Atlanta at Midnight, with Licorice greeting us at the door.

1/29/05: Pap packs us off to Corbin, KY to Aunt Bill’s house for a little get-together so JT can meet all his brothers and sisters (JT’s great Aunts and Uncles).

1/29/05: Mammy makes breakfast for the gang and JT meets his cousins Leia and Ben!!

1/28/05: Within an hour of pulling in the driveway, JT has lots of visitors… Aunt Sissy stops in for quick hello on her way back from cousin Brandon and Virginia’s babyshower. Great Uncle Tom and Great Aunt Phyllis stop by to introduce themselves since they may not be able to make it on Saturday. Cousins Stephen and Drew also pop in for a quick hello. Pap makes our little family sleep in the master bedroom leaving himself to sleep on the pullout sofa (he later admits he got next to no sleep all weekend long). Mammy talks JT to sleep.

1/28/05: Mommy, Daddy, and JT hit the road and head 4hrs north to Mam and Pap’s house in Tazewell, TN (licorice is still recovering from surgery so she stays home with Kenny). Sleet starts coming down as we’re leaving Atlanta, apparently the weather got pretty bad and we just missed it all traveling just in ahead of the front the whole way.

1/28/05: JT 1month checkup. He’s doing well, now 10lb 7oz and 22″.

1/20/05: Mommy takes JT to Dr, at times he seems to be gasping for air. Lungs and heart check out okay, have to keep close eye on him. Muscle in throat may still be developing and and at times not strong enough. The gasping happens much less frequently as days go by.

1/12/05: Gramma PatPat flys back to Fort Lauderdale. :’(

1/11/05: Licorice has knee surgery to remove hardware that’s causing infections from previous knee surgery

1/10/05: Kevin and Karen head back to Fort Lauderdale

1/9/05: JT’s first outing, Piedmont Park with Mommy, Daddy, Gramma PatPat, Uncle Kevin and his girlfriend Karen

1/6/05: Uncle Kevin and his girlfriend Karen spend long weekend in Atlanta

1/5/05: Mommy goes to Dr with flu and spinal headaches

1/3/05: JT’s first checkup with pediatrician.

1/1/05: Mammy and Pap Siler spend Saturday and Sunday in Atlanta to meet their newest Grandson, JT
