We had a big day yesterday - first we went to the Inman Park festival and JT got to see a turtle swim all around in a pond and he got to play in the kids area - which was a lot of fun. Kenny, Kim’s best friend, also came along with us to the festival. We then planned on going home, but saw signs for the Cherokee County Air Show along the way (we actually knew about this - but thought it was both Saturday AND Sunday but the signs said on Saturday) so we decided to go ahead and stop by. It’s a good thing we did because JT ended up on the front page of The Cherokee Tribune.
Now, I have to stop here and say that Barry missed out on JT being followed by the photographer and going nuts over all the helicopters because he was too busy whining and pouting over us dragging him to the Inman Park Festival with us - so much so was he pouting that we actually left the festival BEFORE THE PARADE!! Anyway - by the time we got to the air show Barry decided he needed to go to Home Depot - so JT and I bailed out of the pout mobile and went to the airshow by ourselves!!!
JT was running back and forth between all of the helicopters screaming and yelling with excitement. The photographer took notice and just began following JT around. He must have taken AT LEAST 30 pics of JT (i’m going to call the paper to see if we can get copies). JT did end up attracting a small crowd and laid it on thick for the ladies. Smiling big wide toothy grins and when they all asked him to give a thumbs up while he was sitting in helicopter - JT proceeded to put pointy finger up close to his face and gave a big evil grin!! The crow went wild - LOL. Yea, this is a mommy talking about the best toddler in the world - so bare with it folks!!
So, I got so excited over the photographers and JT going nuts that i kept calling Barry and asked him to come back so we could go on a helicopter ride together and so he could see JT going crazy. By the time Barry got there the flights were booked so no helicopter ride, but he did get to see how excited JT was over all the helicopters.
JT then came home and played in his new sand & water table for a few hours - he loves it. He woke up this morning and the first thing he said was “OHWoW - helicopter Big RED ONE wow!! and MMm icecream tastes good” … i think he was dreaming about his big day!!

Well, he definitely takes after his Daddy, cuz he was hamming it up for the photographer at the air show. We think he may even make it into today’s newspaper but mommy was so wrapped up in excitement of it all that she forgot to ask who the photographer was taking pictures for… so if you happen to see our little man in printed pics somewhere - LET US KNOW!!!

From the day we bought this house we have talked about putting a slip and slide down the hill. Matter of fact - the day we moved in Barry and I took turns rolling down the hill. Talk was put into action when my brother kevin came over with some empty boxes - he lined them up and tried to go down the hill. Unfortunately the only one who could slide down was JT - so my brother brought out the big guns — a HUGE tarp (they then cut in half) - a bottle of kids bubbles, and the water hose. Needless to say, it produced a few hours of fun for all the boys…

… we took the boys to the Spring Fling at JT’s school - they liked the bounce house and JT really took a liking to the putt-putt. Tater, however, spent most of the afternoon stalking Chucky Cheese. There are several pictures of him following the 6ft mouse everywhere - but keeping at least 6ft away from him - if Chucky even looked his way he’d look the other way or walk away - but then go back to stalking as soon as the mouse started the other way.
JT and Tater are starting to play with eachother - this is one of the first times we saw JT doing something WITH Tater rather than wanting to do what Tater’s doing (jealousy).

We had a very nice Easter weekend in TN at Mammy & Pap’s. JT not only got to get eggs from the chickens every day himself (he LOVES doing this), color eggs, and find eggs; he also got to see baby chics that had hatched Easter morning.
Funny thing is this one chic (they always want to show this city girl something she hasn’t seen before - oh and bring your camera!) is called a RUBBERNECK chicken. It is half chicken and half turkey and VERY UGLY if you ask me. They say it’s “good eatin”. I searched the internet and came up with this site describing the TURKEN.
Happy Easter!
